This Return & Refund Policy applies to orders placed with Valostyle for delivery in Finland, the European Union, and the USA.

1. Voluntary Return Window

In addition to your statutory rights, we accept return requests for eligible items within 21 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a voluntary return, the item must:

  • be unused and in its original condition;
  • include original packaging where applicable; and
  • be accompanied by proof of purchase, such as your order number or confirmation email.

2. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you generally have the legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision within that 14-day period. After notifying us, you must send the goods back within 14 days.

3. Items Not Eligible for Return

The right of withdrawal and/or voluntary returns may not apply, where permitted by law, to:

  • personalized or custom-made items;
  • sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • perishable goods; and
  • digital content once delivery or access has begun with your prior consent, where permitted by law.

4. How to Request a Return

To request a return or exercise your right of withdrawal, please email support@valostyle.com and include:

  • your order number;
  • the item or items you want to return; and
  • the reason for the return, if applicable.

We will provide return instructions after receiving your request.

5. Return Shipping Costs

For voluntary returns or withdrawals, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or incorrect.

If the item is defective or not as described, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law, and, where required by law, the return will be handled at no cost to you.

6. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible at support@valostyle.com. Please include your order number and photos of the issue, where possible. If the issue is confirmed, we will offer an appropriate remedy, such as repair, replacement, or refund, in line with your legal rights.

7. Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the order.

For valid withdrawal requests, refunds are generally made within 14 days from the date we receive your withdrawal notice. However, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or until you provide evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first. Payment providers or banks may need additional time to complete the transaction.

8. Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at support@valostyle.com. If the order has not yet been processed or dispatched, we may be able to cancel it. If the order has already been dispatched, you may use your right of withdrawal or our voluntary return policy, as applicable.

9. Legal Guarantee

This policy does not limit your mandatory legal rights. Under EU and USA consumer rules, consumers generally have a minimum 2-year legal guarantee for goods that are faulty or not in conformity with the contract.
